Duplex Softening Systems
The ER/Kinetico water conditioning units are the first and only non-electrical, completely automatic water conditioners. They use a twin tank design, joined by a single module, that automatically regulates brining, back-wash, rinsing, and shifting from one unit to the other when required. The units measure the volume of water by using a meter that turns as water flows through the system. After a predetermined volume, depending on water hardness, the unit automatically begins regeneration for one tank and shifts service to the tank in reserve.
ER/Kinetico Advantages
The problems and objections of electrical units for the first time have been removed, while ER/Kinetico systems also provide significant advantages. Only an ER/Kinetico water conditioner can offer all the following benefits:
Twin tanks - Soft conditioned water available 24 hours a day... even during regeneration. Provides the regeneration cycle with ample soft, clean water to more effectively renew the resin bed and greatly reduce the amount of salt and water needed.
No electricity requirements! No risk of shock, processor malfunctions, or reliability problems as a result of power surges, shortages, or outages.
Demand system. Conserves water and salt by regenerating only when necessary, no additional reserve capacities are necessary to handle additional demand, reducing the number of miscellaneous regenerations, and ultimately lowering operating costs.
Efficient use of water and salt. Low water consumption, less money spent on salt.
Corrosion resistant valve and tanks. Long lasting, can endure harsh environments.
Only clean, soft, filtered water flows through the internal control mechanism. Fewer mechanical problems and service requirements.
Low maintenance. Just add salt.
Soft water counter-current regeneration. Increased regeneration efficiency and water quality.
Depending on application size, inlet quality, and the required outlet water quality, a number of different units are available. Below is a list of the technical parameters for standard units offered by Earth Resources, and additional information for the high temperature HT45 model:
